After a tremendous year in 2015 with their films and programming, Netflix looks set to impress even more with their original line-up for next year.

So here's every returning show, brand new show, and Netflix-backed original movie that is scheduled to fill up our screens in 2016.

RETURNING NETFLIX ORIGINAL SHOWS

Better Call Saul (Season 2) – New episodes weekly from 16 February

The Emmy nominated prequel to “Breaking Bad follows small time attorney Jimmy McGill as he transforms into morally challenged lawyer Saul Goodman. 

House of Cards (Season 4) – Premieres 4 March

Frank Underwood has announced his candidacy for president and will stop at nothing to conquer Washington DC in this Emmy and Golden Globe winning political drama. Stars Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright and Michael Kelly.

Marvel’s Daredevil (Season 2)

Blinded as a young boy, Matt Murdock fights injustice by day as a lawyer and by night as the super hero Daredevil in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC.

Orange is the New black (Season 4)

Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (13 January)

There is a world hidden within our own…where angelic Shadowhunters protect humanity from unseen demons…and where Clary Fray will discover that all the legends are true.

Degrassi : Next Class (15 January)

Degrassi: Next Class is a pull-no-punches dramatic series that tackles the real-life issues of high school students. Telling the stories of “Generation Z,” the series focuses on a group of teens as they begin their journey into adulthood.

Chelsea Does (23 January)

Chelsea Does is is a four part docu-series featuring Chelsea Handler exploring four topics of personal and universal fascination: marriage, racism, Silicon Valley, and drugs.

Fuller House (26 February)

The Tanner family is back... but the house is a little Fuller this time around.  Netflix will debut the 13-episode spinoff series, Fuller House, in all territories where Netflix is available. In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue.

Flaked

Flaked is the serio-comic story of Chip, a celebrated long-time resident of the insular world of Venice, California who falls for the object of his best friend's fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Will Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies.  Irish actress Ruth Kearney is announced to play the female lead, a waitress named London who will be the centre of a love triangle.

LOVE

Love follows nice guy Gus (Paul Rust) and brazen wild-child Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, love and other things they were hoping to avoid. Love is an unflinching, hilarious and excruciatingly honest take on modern relationships. Love is created, written and executive produced by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin.

The Crown

The Crown tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world -- Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street - and the intrigues, love lives and machinations behind the great events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. Two houses, two courts, one Crown.

Jimmy Carr Comedy Special

Comedian Jimmy Carr has filmed as a 90-minute special to premiere globally on Netflix in 2016.

The Get Down

The Get Down will focus on 1970s New York City – broken down and beaten up, violent, cash strapped -- dying. Consigned to rubble, a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers are nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them – except each other, armed only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans.

 

ORIGINAL NETFLIX FILMS

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon : Sword of Destiny (26 February)

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny tells an epic story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption, set against breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of the Martial World.

Jadotville

A gripping true story of incredible bravery against impossible odds, the film thrillingly depicts the 1961 siege of a 150-strong Irish UN battalion under Commander Patrick Quinlan (Jamie Dornan) by 3000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. Canet plays a French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

War Machine

Inspired by the best-selling book The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan by the late Michael Hastings, War Machine concerns a four star, “rock star” general whose lethal reputation and impeccable track record vaults him to command the American war in Afghanistan. The provocative satirical comedy comes from producer Brad Pitt and director David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The Rover), with principal photography scheduled to begin in August.
