Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault.

Weinstein addressed the court for the first time before the sentence was handed down, claiming that he was not given due process during the trial.

He said he and other men facing allegations in the #MeToo movement are accused of “things that none of us understood.”

“Thousands of men are losing due process,” he said. “I'm worried about this country.”

The 67-year-old was convicted sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi and raping former aspiring actress Jessica Mann earlier this year.

Both women were applauded by onlookers as they arrived at court today.
