Gunmen have opened fire at the US Consulate in Istanbul, hours after a deadly police station bomb attack in the city.
No-one was hurt in the attack on the consulate building, but the two gunmen escaped after a gun battle with police, Turkey's Dogan news agency reported.
Three people were killed and at least 10 injured in the explosion at a police station in the Sultanbeyli area of the city, according to Turkish media.
The city's police headquarters said in a statement that three police officers and seven civilians were wounded in the attack, but did not confirm the number of people killed.
