Over 400,000 more visitors came to Ireland in the first half of this year.
There's been an 11.7% jump in the number of tourists visiting the country compared to the same time last year. Ireland now welcomes 10% of all American visitors to Europe.
There's been a jump in the number of visitors coming here from Britain, Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
Meanwhile, Minister for Transport and Tourism Paschal Donohoe has claimed the government's low tax rates for the tourism sector is enabling strong growth in the industry.
Minister Donohoe stated they hope to create an extra 50,000 jobs in the sector by by 2025.
