Gardaí in Longford have seized more than €40,000 in cash as part of an ongoing Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) investigation into suspected money laundering.
A search was carried out at a house in the county in the early hours of this morning by local gardaí who were assisted by the Armed Support Unit.
During the course of the search, cash worth more than €40,000 was seized.

One man was in the house during the search but no arrests were made.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
