Gardaí are investigating after a teenager died in a road collision in Dublin yesterday evening.
The incident occurred on Carnlough Road at the junction with St Finbar's Road in Cabra at around 6pm.
The man, who was in his late teens, was seriously injured after his motorcycle collided with a car.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital where he died a shorttime later.
The woman, in her late 30s, who was driving the car was taken to Blanchardstown Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for a period to facilitate a Garda Forensic investigation.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any road users who may have camera footage prior to the collision to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 - 6667000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
