Gardaí are continuing to investigate the deaths of Eoghan and Ruairí Chada this morning. The two brothers, aged 10 and 5, were found dead in their father's car which crashed near Westport, Co Mayo, on Monday.
Post mortems were carried out last night but gardaí say the results will not be released for operational reasons. Gardaí have now launched a murder investigation involving a significant amount of resources both in mayo and in Ballinkillen, Co Carlow, where the Chada family live.
Their father Sanjeev Chada is still being treated in hospital but is expected to be discharged soon.
The Irish Independent's Special Correspondent, Paul Williams, says officers want to question him today.
