Gardaí have launched an investigation after a boy, 2, fell from the balcony of an apartment in Dublin yesterday.

The incident happened after the young boy fell from the second floor of the complex in Citywest at around 4pm.

He was removed to Tallaght Hospital - but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The incident is being treated as an accident.
