Gardaí investigating the murder of an infant girl in Cork City last week are renewing their appeal for information.

Two-year-old Santina Cawley died in hospital after she was found with serious injuries at an apartment in the Elderwood Apartment complex on Boreenmanna Road last Friday morning.

Investigators this evening appealed to anyone who was in the Elderwood Estate area or Boreenmanna Road areas between 1.00am and 5.30am on Friday morning to come forward.

They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage.

A woman in her 30s who was arrested as part of the investigation has since been released without charge.

The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
