Gardaí in Dublin say a 44-year-old father of two who died in Tallaght on Thursday was not murdered.

It is understood the row broke out over a child's use of a bike.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.25pm.

Mr Holmes was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and removed to Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, and particularly anyone who was in the area between 4.30pm and 6pm, about the incident to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
