Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery at a service station in Dublin yesterday evening.
It happened at the Applegreen on the Stillorgan road in Blackrock at 6.25pm when two men entered the premises, threatened staff and demanded money.
One was armed with a gun and the other had a hammer.
Afterwards they left the scene in a car with a sum of cash.
No-one was injured during the robbery.
Gardaí say two males were later arrested on the Lower Kilmacud Road and taken to Blackrock Garda station for questioning.
They are being held at Blackrock garda station, under the provisions of section 30 of Offences Against the State Act.
An amount of money has also been recovered.
