89 jobs are in jeopardy in Cork at an online gaming company.
Big Fish says it's proposing to close its facility in Mahon, subject to a 30-day consultation process with employees.
The company says the closure is as a result of the realignment of resources due to the success of other parts of the business.
In a statement the company's Chief Executive Paul Thelen, said the firm would be "increasing investment in the areas that are growing or profitable and eliminating investment in areas that are not on a path to success".
"We are proposing to close our facility in Cork, subject to a 30-day consultation that we are entering into with employees," he said.
Big Fish is the world’s largest producer of casual games aimed primarily at mobile smartphone and computer tablet users.
One of its titles - Big Fish Casino - is among the most popular games for Apple's iPhone and iPad devices.
