Gardaí in Carlow have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a hit and run incident that happened two months ago.

At around 8.20pm on June 17th, two pedestrians in the Urglin Rutland area of Carlow town were injured when they were hit by a vehicle.

A man (59) was seriously injured, while a woman (23) received minor injuries.

The driver is said to have left the scene, travelling in the direction of Rays Cross.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured, possibly blue 4x4.

Gardaí are calling on anyone who was in the area at the time or who has information to contact Carlow Garda Station 059-913-6620, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111.
