/> Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an horrific crash in Co. Offaly which killed three young brothers – all in their 20s – and their friend.

The two vehicle collision between a car and a minibus happened at around 5.30 yesterday evening, on the R420, Tullamore to Geashill road.

It’s understood the four victims were all in their 20s, and living in Portarlington in Co. Laois.

The four were travelling in a car that collided with a minibus about two kilometres from Tullamore on the Geashill road at around 5.30 yesterday evening.

The four men – three of whom are brothers – were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three passengers in the minibus were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore – but their injuries are described as not life threatening.

Authorities have described the scene of yesterday’s crash as horrific and they’re appealing for witnesses to come forward.
