Four people have been hospitalised after a car drove into a group of people during a brawl in Galway last night.

A large number of people were involved in the incident, with videos shared widely across social media in the hours since.

It happened in the carpark of a shopping centre on the Headford Road at around 6pm yesterday.

During the brawl, a vehicle appears to have been driven at speed at a group of people.

A man and a woman are receiving treatment for their injuries, which are non-life threatening.

Two men were also hospitalised after being assaulted.

Gardai seized a number of weapons and two vehicles.
