Mueller report finds no evidence of collusion but does not exonerate US President

US Attorney General William Barr has delivered the main findings of the Mueller report to Congress.

Members of Congress received the four-page letter this afternoon, just days after the conclusion of the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the US 2016 presidential election.

US President Donald Trump has always denied collusion with his campaign, calling the inquiry a 'witch-hunt'.

The US Justice Department says it has found no evidence of collusion - but it also does not exonerate the president on the subject of obstruction.

John Delaney to take “substantial” salary reduction in new FAI role

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has said former CEO John Delaney will take a "substantial reduction in salary" in his new role as executive vice-president.

Mr Delaney stepped aside as chief executive on Saturday, with chief operating officer Rea Walshe moving to the role of interim CEO with immediate effect.

Ms Walshe was appointed as chief operating officer last month.

She joined the FAI in 2014 from Liberty Insurance, and graduated with distinction from the inaugural UEFA Football Law Programme.

Stranded cruise ship makes its way to Norwegian port

A cruise ship which got stranded when its engines failed in stormy weather on Saturday is making its way to a nearby port in Norway.

Hundreds of passengers remain on board the Viking Sky.

Helicopters worked through the night to winch people one-by-one from the ship, but they were able to get fewer than half of them to shore.

Police said 16 people have been taken to hospital, three of them with serious injuries.

Man accused of being “world’s largest” child porn facilitator extradited

An Irish man suspected of being "the world's largest facilitator of child porn" has been extradited to the United States.

An Garda Síochána has confirmed Eric Eoin Marques was surrendered to FBI agents at Dublin Airport on Saturday morning.

He will appear in a US court on Monday.

His extradition was sought by the United States over allegations that he conspired to distribute and advertise child pornography on the dark web.

Theresa May gathers ministers for crisis talks amid ‘Cabinet coup’

British Prime Minister Theresa May is holding crisis talks with her government ministers and senior MPs.

It comes amid a flurry of reports she could be forced from her position.

The UK's Sunday Times earlier reported 11 cabinet ministers had told them they want Mrs May to move aside and make way for a replacement.

Former UK education secretary Nicky Morgan told the Sunday Telegraph cabinet ministers should tell her "it's time to go" while backbench Brexiteer Steve Baker says potential leadership contenders should "act now."
