Fine Gael has seen a surge in popularity in the first big opinion poll since the government was formed.

The party has seen a four-point rise to 38%, almost double what it had in the General Election, in today's 'Ireland Thinks for The Mail on Sunday' poll.

Fianna Fáil is down one point to 12%, and Sinn Féin have also dropped one point to 26%.
