No, there's no mistake in the headline.
FIFA's United Passions has taken a hell of a beating at the US box office, bringing in a mere $900 from its opening weekend.
The film, a bizarre $27m hagiography of FIFA's executive committee, was shown in only 10 cinemas, and following the recent revelations and arrests, it seems like only 90-100 Americans were curious enough to see it.
The film stars Tim Roth as Sepp Blatter and Sam O'Neill his predecessor Joao Havelange. According to the LA Times, neither appeared at the film's premiere in Cannes last year.
Reviewers have been no more supportive than its cast. It has been called a "squirm-inducing heap of propaganda" (LA Times), "one of the most unwatchable films in recent memory" (New York Times) and "proof of corporate insanity" (Guardian).
United Passions was released worldwide last year, earning $178,000 in all non-US markets.
