A man remains in a serious condition in hospital following a fatal road crash in Co Sligo.

A woman aged in her 50s died in the collision on the N16 near Drumkinsellagh yesterday afternoon.

The woman was a passenger on motorcycle when it collided with a car. The driver of the motorcycle is in a serious condition in hospital.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The stretch of the N16 near Drumkinsellagh remains closed for a forensic examination.
