Experts say rise in Dublin house prices not a bubble

Asking prices for houses are continuing to rise in Dublin while falling elsewhere.

That's the latest finding from a report carried out by property website www.daft.ie.

Prices in Dublin for the 3rd quarter of the year were up 7.7%, compared to the same period in 2012.

The average national asking price is 1.5% down from the same time last year.

Daft.ie economist Ronan Lyons, says we're not experiencing another bubble - instead the increases are being caused by a scarcity of houses in areas where people want to set up homes:
