More than half claim they have not felt the benefit of the recovery
The latest in a series of Newstalk/Red C polls ahead of this month’s general election has found that 56% of adults have not felt the effects of the economic recovery personally while just 44% agree that the upturn has benefited them.
Almost four in five respondents believe that the recovery is on a two tier basis, being felt more by some and not others. However, more optimistically the majority of the population (61%) believe that economic growth is here to stay for the next five years at least.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny today admitted his message of "keep the recovery going" has not been understood by people.

Research finds up to 25 spoons of sugar in some hot cafe drinks
There are "dangerously" high amounts of sugar in hot drinks regularly served in high street coffee shop and fast food chains, British research has found.
Action on Sugar analysed 131 drinks and found 98% would receive a red nutritional value label for high sugar content.
Starbucks' venti Grape with Chai, Orange and Cinnamon Hot Mulled Fruit was found to have the highest sugar content - a total of 25 teaspoons of sugar per serving.
