Police investigating "network" following Manchester bombing

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed one of the victims of a suicide bomb blast at a concert on Monday was a serving police officer.

A woman was arrested on Wednesday evening following an armed raid on a block of flats in Blackley, north Manchester - bringing the total number of arrests in the UK in connection with the attack to six.

In Tripoli, local counter-terrorism police say they have arrested suspect Salman Abedi's younger brother, with officials claiming he 'knew of the plan'.

Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge closed for 'foreseeable future' due to vandalism

Police in the North are investigating damage to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in Co Antrim.

The popular tourist attraction has been closed to visitors after it was damaged by vandals overnight.

Taoiseach calls all-agency meeting to assess Ireland's readiness for terror attack

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has called a meeting of all agencies on Thursday to assess our preparedness for a Manchester-style attack.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30am.

Mr Kenny says we cannot proceed on the basis that "everything is calm and rosy".
