Fourteen people charged as part of operation targeting drugs in Co Louth

Gardaí say 14 people have been arrested and charged with drugs trafficking offences in Co Louth.

It is part of an ongoing investigation of organised crime in the Drogheda district.

US House of Representatives votes to proceed with Trump impeachment investigation

The US House of Representatives has voted in favour of proceeding with the next stage of the impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump.

Today’s vote was the first formal test of support for the impeachment process.

The House, which is controlled by the Democrats, voted by 232 to 196 to establish how to hold public hearings in Congress.

NASA spots 'jack-o'-lantern nebula' in time for Halloween

The US space agency NASA says it has found a cloud of gas and dust that looks like a celestial jack-o'-lantern.

The image of the O-type star was taken by its Spitzer Space Telescope.

The massive star is about 15 to 20 times heavier than the Sun, and is likely responsible for sculpting this cosmic pumpkin.
