Ministers hold special Brexit-related Cabinet meeting

Government ministers are holding a special Brexit-related Cabinet meeting.

It is the second time the Cabinet has met to discuss Britain's exit from the EU in 24 hours.

It comes as British Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker meet in Strasbourg for talks.

Man arrested after gun, device found in north Dublin house

A man has been arrested in north Dublin after Gardaí recovered a gun and a device.

Officers were called to a report of a man armed with a gun in the Poppintree area of Ballymun at around 4.45pm on Monday.

Garda Armed Support Units and local units were sent to the scene.

Ireland to perform in second Eurovision semi-final

The line-up for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest has been announced.

Ireland's Sarah McTernan will perform '22' on the night of the second semi-final in Tel Aviv.

According to the show's website, she will be seventh on stage on May 16th to compete for a place in the final.
