Last minute preparations are underway before Ireland assumes the presidency of the European Union on January 1st.

Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore has already said the economy will be the priority of our time as head of the EU.

Today senior figures from the European and Irish political, scientific and business worlds attended the official launch of one of the highlights of the Irish Presidency -”EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration”.
