The chief executive of the airline whose plane crash-landed at San Francisco Airport says engine failure wasn't to blame.

Two Chinese people were killed and more than 180 injured, when the tail of the Boeing 777 was ripped off.

The CEO of Asiana Airlines says the plane was only seven years old, and he believes there were no engine or mechanical problems.

The flight had come from Incheon Airport in Seoul, South Korea and as it touched down, the tail broke off and the jet burst into flames.

Survivor Ben Lev-ee says they were coming in to land, when the pilot tried to take off again.
