The Tánaiste Joan Burton says the Government should 'stay the course' and avoid an early election.

It comes after comments by Newstalk presenter - and former Fine Gael minister - Ivan Yates yesterday.

He predicted the Taoiseach Enda Kenny would go to the polls on November 20th.

But Mr Kenny yesterday challenged Mr Yates to a bet on the issue - and played down the prospect of a snap election.

And Ms Burton says she believes the Government will serve the full term.
