Electric Picnic has issued a warning about fake tickets.
Almost 35,000 people will descend on Stradbally, Co. Laois this weekend for the sold-out music festival.
Promoters say a large amount of convincing forgeries have been spotted on social networking and ad web sites.
They're telling would-be festival goers not to take any chances, as fake tickets will definitely be detected on arrival.
Promoters, Festival Republic, said “We urge people not to take any chances by purchasing tickets being offered for sale on these sites. There are a huge amount of very convincing forgeries in circulation since the festival has sold out. Make no mistake the fake tickets will be detected on arrival at the festival and the holders will not be let into the festival grounds. Avoid disappointment, do not buy tickets from an unofficial sources’’.
They have also confirmed that no more official tickets will be released ahead of the weekend.
