Eight PSNI officers were injured overnight after coming under attack at an anti-internment bonfire in West Belfast.

Police were attacked with paint bombs, bricks and bottles - and have made several arrests this morning.

Meanwhile, officers in the New Lodge area were attacked by a man with a sword at about 3 o'clock this morning.

They fired two plastic bullets to pacify that subdue their attacker.
