Dublin's Lord Mayor is calling for a designated Minister for Homelessness and Drug Abuse.
In an impassioned speech at the Merchant’s Quay centre in the capital, Christy Burke says there is no political ambition to tackle homelessness.
His remarks come at the launch of Merchants Quay Ireland's report for 2013 which shows that up to 150 people are sleeping on the capital's streets on any given night.
