An Irish guy has fallen foul of Richard Branson’s Virgin Group who says his eco-friendly denim label I Am Not A Virgin is infringing on the company’s copyright. The New York-based brand, which was founded by Peter Heron three years ago, was on the verge of launching but now faces a potential lawsuit.
This morning the Irish emigrant spoke to Tom Dunne and told him that the lawyers are saying that if a consumer walks past a store window and sees I Am Not A Virgin jeans, they wouldn’t be able to decipher between I Am Not A Virgin and Virgin. The brand has even suggested a few alternatives to Heron, such as I Am Not Chaste or I Am Not Pure. Have a listen to the full interview here:
