Dublin City Council is changing its tactics - the local authority says it will withhold street cleaning services in areas with dumping problems.
They say cleaning up after residents in areas where illegal dumping is an issue is a waste of Council resources.
According to the Irish Times, waste being thrown into the street bagged and unbagged is a widespread problem, but it's worst in the north inner city.
