A stray dog found injured in Dublin has given birth to 12 healthy puppies.
Cinnamon, who is a Greyhound cross known as a lurcher, came into the DSPCA on July 24th after she was picked up by dog wardens.
They found her suffering from multiple puncture wounds all over her body, and also very heavily pregnant.
It is thought she may have been involved in dog fighting.
She received immediate treatment on her wounds and a complete check over.
As she was so heavily pregnant, the DSPCA put her straight into foster care.
Sean, her new foster dad, collected her on the Tuesday August 4th, and on Wednesday afternoon Cinnamon started giving birth to the first of her puppies.
After nearly 15 hours, she finally finished with a litter of four girls and eight boys.
The DSPCA says: "Cinnamon, with the help of Sean, is doing a fantastic job and looks like a different dog than the one that came in weeks ago."
