A nine-year-old girl battling cancer has now received dozens of jerseys sent to her following an online call.

Róisín Price from Co Tipperary was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in February 2015.

After recently finding out the cancer is back, Róisín is back in treatment.

Róisín is a massive GAA fan, and to cheer her up her family and friends set out on a mission: to collect jerseys from every county in the country.

Newstalk's technology correspondent Jess Kelly is friends with the family, and put out the appeal on social media.

Before long, Róisín had not only received every country jersey, but dozens of other special gifts from around the world - from signed jerseys to specially-designed cakes and teddy bears.

Now, Róisín has received the first few batches of jerseys - with more still arriving for her.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign, 'Roisin's Relentless Fight', set up by Róisín's family to help raise money for her treatment is still ongoing.

Around €20,000 has been donated to the campaign so far.
