Downtown Abbey’s popularity Stateside is reflected in this year’s Emmy Awards.

The British period drama has received nine nominations including; Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress for Michelle Dockery and Outstanding Lead Actor for Hugh Bonnerville.

It’s also received two nods in both the Outstanding Support Actress and Support Actor cateogories as well as Outstandin Directing and Outstanding Writing.

Homeland has secured five nods including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress for Claire Danes and Lead Actor for Damian Lewis.

Game of Thrones has also been nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series and the Supporting Actor categories while Sherlock has received two nods for Outstanding Miniseries and Best Actor in a Mini Series for Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Good Wife, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad are also among the most popular dramas in this year’s nominations.
