The Lithuanian man charged with the Killorglin double murders is to appear in court today.
26 year old Aurimas Andruska of 7 Ardmoniel Heights, Killorglin is charged with murdering Jolanta Lubiene and her daughter Enrika at their home in the town.
The bodies of 27 year old Jolanta Lubiene and her 8 year old daughter Enrika were found at their home in Langford Downs, Killorglin on the evening of June 16th; both had been stabbed to death.
26 year old Lithuanian national Aurimas Andruska was originally charged with murdering Jolanta, and with the unlawful killing of Enrika, however that charge was upgraded to murder last Tuesday at Killarney District Court.
At that same court sitting, the accused’s solicitor Peter Malone asked for a psychiatric assessment to be carried out, due to concern expressed by medical staff in the prison service.
Aurimas Andruska was remanded in custody that day, and is to appear before Tralee District Court today.
