Dirty old Dublin might finally have come clean.
The latest survey by Irish Business Against Litter has found the capital to be clean to European standards for the first time ever.
The survey of 42 towns and cities was carried out by An Taisce inspectors and put Cavan at the top of the tidiness league table, ahead of last year's winner Kilkenny.
Waterford City came in third while Dublin was 14th.
Limerick City and Cork City were both 'clean to European norms'.
But the towns of Monaghan, Ennis and Mullingar came bottom of the league and were branded 'littered' by the inspectors.
Chairman of IBAL, Dr. Tom Cavanagh, isn't overly concerned:
