Diageo is set to name Oliver Loomes as the new country director of Ireland later today - replacing David Smith, who has held the position since July 2011.
Mr Loomes has worked with the company for 16 years and was in charge of the Guinness 250th birthday celebration in 2009 - and the first 'Arthur's Day' event in 2010.
He has previously worked with Carlsberg and Budweiser.
Recent figures from Guinness showed that sales in Ireland rose by 2% in the 12 months to June 30th while global sales remained flat.
Sales in Ireland benefited from the release of a number of new offerings from Guinness, including the Hop Hose 13 lager.
Baileys sales were unchanged during the period in Ireland while global sales declined by 4%.
The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin was named 'Europe's leading tourist attraction' at the World Travel Awards in Sardinia on Saturday, September 5th.
