The number of babies born to teenage mothers in Ireland has fallen by 44% in the last five years.
That is according to figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) yearbook.
The figures show that just over 1,250 children were born to teen mums in 2014.
While the number of babies born to women over the age of 45 has risen 34% since 2009.
36% of all children born in Ireland last year were born outside of marriage.
While Jack was the most popular boys name for babies in Ireland last year, and Emily was the top girls name.
The two have been the number one choice for parents every year since 2011.
James, Daniel, Conor and Sean wrapped up the top five for boys - while Noah was the eighth most popular name here in 2014.
Sophie, Emma, Grace and Eva were the next most popular girls names.
Other findings from the statistics show there were 392 civil partnership ceremonies last year - 242 between men and 150 between women.
And it seems women are living longer, as there was over twice as many women as men aged over 85.
