There have been a further 2,383 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.

Latest figures also show that 4,760 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal on Sunday.

That brings Monday's case total to 7,143.

This put the five-day moving average of cases at 7,395.

As of 8.00am, 808 patients were hospitalised with the virus - of whom 47 were in ICU.

While on Saturday, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) was notified of 3,904 PCR-confirmed cases here.

A further 4,014 people also registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal the previous day.

And on Sunday, the HPSC was notified of 1,254 PCR-confirmed cases.

A further 3,537 people also registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal on Saturday.
