A court has heard how the upcoming trial of former Anglo executives may have been jeopardised.
The former chairman of the bank Sean Fitzpatrick and two former directors are accused of providing unlawful financial assistance to individuals to buy shares.
Mr. Fitzpatrick with an address in Greystones was not in court when his case was mentioned earlier today. His two co-accused - William McAteer of Auburn Villas in Rathgar and Pat Whelan of Coast Road in Malahide - were also excused.
In their absence Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was told that their upcoming trial may have been jeopardised.
The trio have been charged over financial irregularities at the bailed-out lender which were allegedly carried out between 2002 and 2007.
The court heard how a matter has come to the attention of the defence which could prevent their trial from going ahead. One of the defence barristers told the judge that a disclosure issue has also arisen and a date has been set for the matter to be discussed.
The legal teams will reconvene before the same court on July 26th and a decision should then be made on whether the trial will begin in the New Year.
