A court has heard that a 15-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed after defending a young girl who was being bullied over Facebook comments.

Two young men and one of their sisters will be sentenced tomorrow for their roles in what happened at a park in Dublin five years ago.

The attack took place at a park in Raheny in September 2015.

The court heard the victim, who can’t be named because he was only 15-years-old at the time, came to the aid of a girl who was being abused by a group of teenage girls

He told gardaí they were accusing her of “putting stuff” up on Facebook.

Lucy Ennis, of Parkside Avenue, Malahide Road, Balgriffin, attacked him while he was walking the girl out of the park.

She then told her older brother, Jordan, that he hit her. Jordan Ennis later stabbed him four to five times in the back.

Another man, Aaron Flanagan, of Macroom Road, Coolock, attacked him in the head and body.

The victim ran for his life, but was assaulted again after being dragged back down the road after collapsing in a park.

Aaron Flanagan, Jordan and Lucy Ennis will be sentenced for their roles in the attack tomorrow.
