There have been three more coronavirus-related deaths in the Republic.

14 new cases of the virus have also been confirmed today.

It brings the total number of cases to 25,334, while the number of deaths now stands at 1,709.

In a statement, Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said: “As of midnight Monday 14 June, 386,572 tests have been carried out.

"Over the past week, 18,758 were carried out. 146 tests were positive, giving a positivity rate of 0.8%.”

Meanwhile, one new COVID-19-related death has been announced in Northern Ireland today.

It follows two consecutive days where no deaths had been reported there, with no deaths reported across the entire island yesterday.

542 people have died as a result of coronavirus in the North, while two new cases confirmed there today brings the total to 4,854.
