Cloudy for a time in all areas today with a band of rain spreading east to all areas.

Eastern areas will begin dry and mainly dry conditions in turn will follow from the west with sunny spells.

Fresh southeast winds will veer southwest and slacken.

Highest temperatures 9 to 11 degrees.

Tonight

Tonight will have some good dry and clear spells over the midlands and north with temperatures here falling to range 1 to 3 degrees with slight frost for a time.

Showers will affect mainly southwest, south and eastern counties later in the night and will be heavy by morning.

Moderate to fresh southerly winds.
