Lawyers for Sir Cliff Richard have criticised the publication of a letter which revealed a police investigation into the singer had "increased significantly in size."
They have written to Keith Vaz, chairman of England's Home Affairs Select Committee, who received the letter from the head of the South Yorkshire force.
They accuse the committee of triggering "a further round of unnecessary and extremely damaging media coverage with no due process."
