An emergency rescue operation has taken place on Carrauntoohil mountain in County Kerry.
A hiker was reported to be in difficulty today in an area known as The Devil's Ladder.
The Shannon-based Coast Guard helicopter was contacted by Valentia rescue coordinators and travelled to the scene.

Rescue teams responded and an individual has been airlifted to Tralee Hospital.
No further details were immediately available.
