A cargo plane overshot the runway at an Italian airport in the early hours of this morning and crashed into a road.
The Boeing 737, belonging to DHL couriers, was landing at Bergamo Airport in apparent bad weather shortly after 4.00am.
The aircraft had been travelling from Paris Charles De Gaulle.

No one was reported to have been hurt in the crash and the crew escaped unharmed.
The airport was closed for a time but reopened later this morning, however Ryanair has announced the cancellation of a number of flights as a result of the incident.
The full list of cancellations can be found here - none of those have affected flights to and from Ireland.
