The body of Captain Mark Duffy has been formally identified after being recovered from Resue 116.
The remains were returned to shore by the LE Samuel Beckett this afternoon.
A white tent was erected to allow a doctor to examine the body before it was transferred to a hearse.
The coffin was draped in the Tricolour and was driven off the pier with a lone piper leading the cortege.
Relatives of the missing crew members had gathered on Blacksod pier and were joined by dozens of Coast Guard volunteers and members of the emergency services.
The search is continuing for the two other members of the coast guard crew.
