Gardaí have uncovered a cannabis growing operation in County Monaghan.

Investigators found around 100 cannabis plants in a wooded area in Larragh this morning.

It is believed the plants are worth around €50,000.

The scene near Ballybay has preserved for a technical examination.

No one has been arrested as yet; however, the Garda investigation is ongoing.
