Three men have been arrested in Drogheda as part of an ongoing investigation into criminality in the area.

Gardaí were called to the scene of a stolen burnt out car today.

As part of follow up investigations, three men were arrested in connection with criminal damage.

One man is being detained in Drogheda Garda Station, while two others are being held at Dundalk Garda Station.

Gardaí have been taking part in 'Operation Stratus' in Drogheda since October 2018.

The operation has focused on tackling crime gangs, along with incidents such as firearms offences, criminal damage and possession of drugs.
